Messages for Consumers and the Public

The Message:

Switching is Simple

What do your customers need to know?

It’s easy to switch to fish and seafood for one meal a week or as often as you’d like. We’re helping you do it. It’s as easy as picking or clicking on something new.

In restaurants, order fish more often when you eat out or pick something up. There’s a lot of new varieties to try and a lots of ways to include fish and seafood at breakfast and lunch.

In grocery retail, there are affordable choices that compare favorably to chicken and beef on price. These include new and delicious choices beyond fillets and steaks, and looking beyond the most familiar ones like shrimp, salmon, scallops, lobster, or crab. Many of these are ready to serve as soon as you get them home. Look for fish and seafood in our prepared foods, ready-to-eat, and grab-and-go sections. (You should identify specific choices you offer.)

You might even consider grocery shopping as a “trip to the ocean” at least when travel isn’t possible. Think about buying enough for several meals of fish and seafood when you go grocery shopping and try new varieties when you do so.
